As the Chairperson, I am excited to embark on this journey of learning, growth and success together. At our institution, we understand the unique challenges that Dyslexic children face in their education. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and succeed, regardless of their learning differences. That is why we have dedicated ourselves to providing specialised teaching techniques and support to help our students thrive.

Our experienced Multidisciplinary Team is passionate about helping Dyslexic children achieve their full potential. We use evidence-based methods and personalised instructions to ensure that each child receives the education and support they need to succeed.

We believe in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported. Our institution is not just a place of learning, but a community of learners where students can feel safe to be themselves and express their unique perspectives.

Established in September 2013, IDEAS is a pioneering institute in Northern Pakistan dedicated to the diagnosis, assessment and remediation of individuals affected by Dyslexia and other learning difficulties. As a preeminent private institute, IDEAS embraces inclusivity at its core, extending its reach to both students with distinct learning hurdles and those without, fostering a diverse and supportive learning environment.

With a team of multidisciplinary professionals, IDEAS offers a comprehensive and personalised remedial program. Additionally, it provides teacher training programs, conducts workshops and seminars on learning difficulties, offers tutoring services, facilitates vocational training, and collaborates with educational institutions to raise awareness about learning challenges.

At IDEAS, we foster an intimate and supportive community that values the uniqueness of each individual, embraces diverse learning styles, and nurtures personal and social development. Hallmark Achievement of IDEAS

Passing of the "Dyslexia Special Measures Bill 2020"

In a significant milestone for the recognition and support of individuals with Dyslexia and other learning difficulties in Pakistan, Team IDEAS achieved a momentous accomplishment in 2020 by collaborating with the government to pass the Dyslexia Bill. Team IDEAS continues to champion the cause of inclusive education, enriching the lives of countless students and transforming the future of education in the country.

The Dyslexia Bill ensures :

  • Provision of equal rights of Dyslexic children to education.
  • Identification and screening tests in schools at time of admission.
  • Appointment of special educators in all schools and teacher training programs.
  • Provision of appropriate instructional services.
  • Appointment of Dyslexia therapists in all schools.
  • Bar on disciplinary measures for Dyslexic students.
  • Mandatory handbook on Dyslexia and associated disorders to be placed in all schools.
  • Conduction of awareness programs.

A Collaborative Effort of IDEAS and National Book Foundation To Make Pakistan "Dyslexia Friendly"

Team IDEAS collaborated with National Book Foundation under IDEAS Inclusive Program; a multi-sensory, child centred program, tailored to meet the needs to every child. Our collective objective, shared by IDEAS and the National Book Foundation, is to incorporate these textbooks that have been developed under IDEAS Inclusive Program, into the formal education curriculum from Prep to VIII grades. We firmly believe that this integration will revolutionise the education system in Pakistan and make it “Inclusive” and truly “Dyslexia Friendly”.

Through our joint efforts, we aim to foster an intimate and supportive community that values the uniqueness of each individual, embraces diverse learning styles, and nurtures personal and social development. Our ultimate goal is to create an inclusive environment where dyslexic children and individuals can not only thrive but also find the support and resources they need to excel.

Inclusive Education

In an inclusive education environment, every child, irrespective of their learning difficulties, learns alongside their peers in the same classroom. This approach is rooted in the belief that all children and families hold equal value and should have equal access to opportunities.

Inclusive education goes beyond addressing learning difficulties; it extends to providing genuine learning opportunities for groups that have historically faced exclusion, including children from diverse castes, religions, and ethnic backgrounds.

Role of IDEAS in Inclusive Education

IDEAS has played a transformative role in the passing of the Dyslexia Bill, a significant milestone in the pursuit of inclusive education and equal rights for all children. Our commitment at IDEAS goes beyond academic support, as we recognize the diverse range of learning difficulties, mental health challenges, and emotional struggles that children may face. To address this, we have assembled a dedicated team of professionals from various disciplines, specializing in supporting children with different learning difficulties, including Dyslexia, ADHD, and Slow Learning. This multidisciplinary approach allows us to offer holistic services catering to each child’s unique needs.

Through collaboration with students, parents, and schools, we strive to create a more inclusive educational landscape that recognizes and accommodates diverse learning needs. Our ultimate goal is to ensure education is accessible to every individual, irrespective of their learning differences. We foster inclusive classrooms where diversity is celebrated and valued. Our efforts focus on creating inclusive cultures that embrace each student’s uniqueness, developing inclusive policies guaranteeing equal opportunities and support for all and evolving inclusive practices to cater to diverse learner needs. By transforming educational environments into inclusive spaces, we empower every student to unlock their full potential and thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
